Blackbeard Berry Sangria Recipe Sangria Recipe
Blackbeard was a famous pirate who terrorized the oceans in the 1700s. Many felt he was insane. It makes sense that Absinthe - a liquor thought to promote insanity - is featured in his berry sangria recipe. Yar! Live life like pirate, live each day to the fullest, and nibble on a strawberry while you're at it.
Ingredients
1oz absinthe
1oz blackberry liqueur
strawberries
1 glass red wine
Put the Absinthe and blackberry liqueur into a glass. Add in the strawberries. Fill with red wine.
Enjoy!
Note - you can buy frozen strawberry bags in the grocery store. This makes it easy to just scoop out a few of them each time you want to make sangria. They act as natural ice cubes for your drink!
To turn this into a party sangria recipe, there are usually four large glasses of wine in a 750ml bottle of wine. Simply multiply all ingredients by four and use a full bottle of wine in a large pitcher or bowl.

Note: I created these sangria recipes and have had them online for years. If you find similar sangria recipes elsewhere, it's because someone copied my idea. I do appreciate it when visitors write in to warn me about the plagiarism - but usually there's not much I can do about it! What's really funny is when they copy my design right down to my sangria pitcher. That's a bit much :)
